The winner of the 2017 Scotties Tournament of Hearts is Team Rachel Homan from Ontario. Team Canada is a much sought after prize as it means an automatic spot in next year’s National Women’s Curling Championship.

HIGHLIGHTS: Skipped Ontario at 2011 and ’13 Hearts, Team Canada in ’14 and ’15; won gold medal in ’13 and ’14, bronze in ’15. Bronze medallist at 2013 worlds as skip for Canada, silver in ’14.
THIRD: Emma Miskew AGE: 28
OCCUPATION: Industrial and graphic designer
HIGHLIGHTS: Played third for Ontario at 2011 and ’13 Hearts, for Team Canada in ’14 and ’15; won gold medal in ’13 and ’14, bronze in ’15. Bronze medallist at 2013 worlds as third for Canada, silver in ’14.
SECOND: Joanne Courtney
AGE: 27
OCCUPATION: Registered nurse
HIGHLIGHTS: Played third for Alberta at 2014 Hearts, second for Team Canada in ’15; won silver medal in ’14, bronze in ’15.
LEAD: Lisa Weagle AGE: 31
OCCUPATION: Communications advisor
HIGHLIGHTS: Played lead for Ontario at 2011 and ’13 Hearts, for Team Canada in ’14 and ’15; won gold medal in ’13 and ’14, bronze in ’15. Bronze medallist at 2013 worlds as lead for Canada, silver in ’14.
